TE AHUREA  KAPA HAKA O TE TONGA O HOKIANGA 2018   Ko te kapa haka Maori te waa tino ataahua o taku, a kaore rawa au e wareware i te wa tuatahi i tohua taku kapa haka ki WAIMA. Waima Kura is all about Whanaungatanga, Aroha, Integrity, Manaki, Ako are the five things that kept Waima School happy, and joyful, Waima Kura is the most wonderful school I've ever been at, because thats how we roll, and the way we keep our school safe. On the day when all Waima School performed for the festival I was so excited to perform but also confused because we were supposed to go around the back were the backdrops are, but the entrance was blocked off so we had to go through the tent and onto the stage, I felt so embarrassed and shy but we all did our best with a few mistakes but that didn’t matter at least we all had fun, that's what mattered the most, having fun. It wasn’t all about keeping it perfect like some dumb rich guy at a wedding, it was all about having fun, in Maori

Swimsafe In Water Lessons!! It is so important at our school that each child has the knowledge of what to do it they or anyone they know are in trouble in and around water.  So each year we have this awesome lady come in and teach the students techniques to help if they or anyone they know ever do get into trouble in and around  water.   The day they did this it was freezing cold, we had just had a big storm, and the rain had stopped, just after these pictures were taken the rain started again, then hail began to come down topped off with a bit of thunder and lightening!!  Four seasons in one day here in WAIMA...... It doesn't matter how many of you their are, if you work together you can survive the dangers in the water This group learning to work together to get to safety!! Chevvy and Isaac pulling Tyler to the edge of the pool 5 yr old Nikris trying to get to the huddle with the rest of the group Finally made it to the huddle!!
