Our school is fortunate enough to have a very talented young women travel out to our little school every friday to teach our whole school dance. These are students from our junior classes and the range from yr1 - yr5.
Language Development Room 1 are currently working through a programme of developing their oral language. This involves experiences that require them to talk about what they are doing or have done. This is to help them develop their vocabulary which will then transfer into their writing.
We are learning to write using finger spaces. Maui wrote: Waiariki is learning to have opinion when she writes: I hate fireworks because they are too loud. I don't want anybody to buy fireworks because I don't want animals to get hurt.
